As with classroom-based courses, online courses have enrollment caps that are determined by the academic department offering the course. The Dutton Institute works with each academic department to set enrollment caps that are appropriate for the course topic and online course design. We also take into account a course's "design cap," which is the maximum number of students the course has been designed to accomodate. If you have a question about the "design cap" for your online course, please see your Dutton Institute learning designer.
