Electronic Reserves
The Electronic Reserves system is a service provided by the Penn State University Libraries that allows for course readings to be available online.
Electronic Document Delivery
Through Interlibrary Loan's "Library Distance Learning Delivery" site, Penn State users can request to have copies of articles sent to them electronically (or by surface mail, if preferred). This is a handy service for distance education students needing articles for course assignments! To request an article, the patron uses an online form (accessible from the "Electronic Document Delivery" link above). On that form the patron indicates whether s/he wants the article electronically or in hard copy. If electronic delivery is requested, the patron is e-mailed a PIN and a URL for where the article can be retrieved (it is posted to a website). The article remains available to the patron for 3 weeks or 5 "uses," whichever comes first.
PLEASE NOTE: This service is NOT to be used as a substitute for Electronic Reserves!
MOOC Research Guide
The MOOC Research Guide is provided by the Penn State libraries and offers resources and information for faculty members as to how library resources can be used in MOOCs.
